Bio

Theodore Shores White has been teaching for twenty-five years and achieved highly qualified status in both the state of Alabama and Michigan. Before embarking on a teaching career, he co-wrote a song, “Call the Law," with Otis Redding’s sons', The Reddings (Polygram Records), that cracked the Billboard Top Twenty. He then toured with The Reddings, that featured Jermaine Dupri (So So Def) as the DJ. After living in Singapore for a year, he returned to Alabama and discovered a new passion. With two bouncing boys, Kodi and Kyle, the journey to the classroom had begun.

Course work at the University of Alabama, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Alabama State University, was enough to secure a position at the Forest Avenue Academic Magnet School teaching sixth grade pre-algebra. After two years of engaging some of the brightest minds in the area, he asked for a transfer and received an assignment at Davis Elementary. Eight years later an opportunity to combine his didactic ability with music manifested at the renowned Detroit School of Arts, as the director of the Music Technology Department. Installing a new program in a state of the art facility was an enriching and rewarding experience. His renewed energy and ignited passion made his return to Alabama, a perfect fit to be a part of a trailblazing venture that was cultivating in his hometown. The Pike Road Music Production program was developed and evolved into Pike Road Television Production; which, was an exciting feature for the district! Currently, he is the new Computer Exploration teacher at PRJHS. Go Patriots!
